Amazon Prime Days
Amazon is a tricky topic. Personally, I have no affinity for Jeff Bezos. No one who spends $50 million on a wedding needs my financial support.
But I also know that some small brands use Amazon for online shipping, such as Michigan based Relative Foods. Teachers and non-profits use Amazon to fulfill wishlists. And people who can’t get out to shop find it to be of benefit.
I will also admit that I have an Amazon storefront. I earn a small commission from things you purchase through my links. And I’ll be honest that now that my husband’s monthly income is cut in half after retirement, that commission income helps me out.
So, if you’re avoiding Amazon this week, I 100% get it. Support small businesses. Shop local. Buy from independent bookstores. (Or use Bookshop.org) Be part of local “buy nothing” groups to share with others what you no longer need.
However, if you do choose to shop during Amazon Prime Days, check out my storefront to see if something you need is on sale. Even if you’re looking for something that’s not in my storefront, I will still earn a commission if you go to Amazon via my link. And I always donate 10% of my income to worthy causes.
Sincerely,
Margaret Clegg
P.S. This past week I added deals from Fresh Thyme to my grocery sales blog post as well as some Amazon deals you may want to check out.
NEW POST! Gluten Free in Gaylord, MI
One of the things I love about what I do is being able to support gluten free small businesses. Being able to live successfully live with Celiac Disease truly is all about community. If you find yourself up near Gaylord, look for Bragg Family Farm at local farmer markets, or stop by the “Mini Maple Mall” on their property.
