Helping Gluten Free Victims of Hurricane Milton
There’s a dedicated gluten free and vegan bakery in Florida, called Hale Life Bakery. They operate 4 locations in the St. Petersburg and Tampa area. To help those impacted by Hurricane Milton, they are accepting donations.
Funds will be used to provide hot meals to those without electricity, as well as baked goods. You can learn about their intentions on their Facebook Page. To donate, visit this link. I’ve known the owners of this bakery for years, and trust their intentions.
Sincerely,
Margaret Clegg

Rumi’s Passion Gluten Free Food Drive
Rumi’s Passion will be working with Hospitality House Food Pantry in Commerce Twp to provide gluten free Thanksgiving Dinners to those who are struggling financially. They will start taking donations starting Wednesday Oct. 16th. Donations can be accepted at Rumi’s Passion in Plymouth, and Dough in Wixom thru Nov. 7th.
You can see Rumi’s Passion’s FB page to see the items being collected. Also, mark their Fall Festival on your calendar, happening on Oct. 26th.
I know that there is a need for more gluten free options at food pantries across Michigan. I’m discussing this with other leaders and hope to work on this issue in the near future. If you’re outside of Michigan, NCA has a GF food pantry map.
