Gluten Free Food IS Real Food
This past Saturday I had shared in my Instagram stories about how I make homemade gluten free bread for communion at our church. I do this once a month, and it’s something I’ve grown to love doing.
And then after service, a fellow parishoner told me that gluten free bread wasn’t real bread. The level of side eye I gave this man was pretty intense. Definitely had that Cillian Murphy level of disapprovement going on.
As much as irks me to hear someone refer to my food that way, it also makes me check my own comments about other types of food. Do I say “regular milk” instead of “cow’s milk”? Because those with other dietary restrictions deserve to have their needs validated as well. Just something to think on as we enter this new year.
Love, Margaret

Italian Wheat Isn’t Gluten Free
Someone reached out to me privately with this question this weekend. One, I think it’s worth sharing because I want you to know you can always ask me questions. Two, it’s worth sharing because this is a very flawed myth that’s dangerous to our health. To read other things we wished people understood, read this blog post I wrote.
